Biodiversity Symposium ¶

The “Biodiversity Symposium” is an annual event that aims to bring together the WSL community to discuss a current topic on biodiversity research and outreach. 

In December 2022, we held our first Biodiversity Symposium. Three external speakers (Marc Castellnou, Pau Costa Foundation, Spain; Margaret Owuor, Wyss Academy, Switzerland; Michael Schaepman, University of Zurich, Switzerland) presented their work in biodiversity research and management.

The second Biodiversity Symposium took place in December 2023. Three external speakers (Jaboury Ghazoul, ETH Zurich; Zoe Stadler, OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences; Sascha Ismail, Swiss Academy of Sciences (SCNAT) · Swiss Biodiversity Forum) presented their work on biodiversity and net-zero.
